Every quarter, each Administering Authority (AA) provides ODPM with a set of Supporting People (SP) data in the form of an extract from their Supporting People Local System (SPLS). This data is used by ODPM for analysis purposes, and a subset forms the basis of the Directory of Services. The data on this Directory is accessible to the public, and needs to be complete, accurate, and of good quality.
This document outlines the changes in validation of SPLS extract files and the associated rationalisation of the Errors and Warning reports which will come into effect with implementation of Cross-File Validation in the improved upload process which will be used for the May 2006 upload.
