Instructions for submitting extract files to ODPM were posted on the SPKweb 03/09/2004 in the IT section. The covering letter was entitled ‘Instructions For Sending Extract Files To ODPM from 13th September 2004‘ and contained the following paragraph:
"For those of you that cannot append the SP Funding file to the August extract and have not already forwarded your May extract to the HDS team, you can submit it using the Directory Services functionality described below. As long as it is valid, it will be forwarded to HDS, including the SP Funding data. You can then upload your August extract and again if it passes the validation, it will be forwarded to HDS."
To enable the Housing, Data and Statistics team to identify and process May extracts, please manually edit the zip file name so that the date reads 31052004. As an example, the file name:
SPLSExtract_00AJ_13092004.zip
would be changed to
SPLSExtract_00AJ_31052004.zip
This change should only made by AAs who are submitting both an August extract and a May extract because they are unable to include the necessary SP Funding information with the August extract. If you are in this situation, please only alter the date of the May extract file that you submit. The date on the August file that you submit should be left unedited.
