SPLS upload - known faults

28/9/04 - If you receive a warning stating that:

The National Provider ID for this Provider is not recognised

Please double check that the National Provider ID is correct and is one that has been issued by ODPM. If the ID was issued recently, and you have confirmed that the details are correct, please disregard this warning message for the time being. In these circumstances the message may have been caused by a time lag between the production of the National Provider ID file used to perform the checks on the test upload system and the submission of your extract.

28/9/04 - If the same contact details are linked to a service with more than one role, all details may currently not be loaded in to the Directory. In this case the following message will appear:

A record with the same "identifier" has already been provided in this SPLS extract. This data will not be loaded into the Directory

This is due to an issue with the Primary Key in the Service Contact extract file, and will be resolved in November’s test system.

Please ignore this message if it is related to the Service Contact extract.

20/9/04 - This morning a new version of the upload suite was launched to correct the following faults:

* Removal of incorrect Mandatory field checks on SupportServiceSPFunding file (As detailed in known faults dated 16/9/04 below)

* Allowing the spelling of `Referal` or `Referral` for the look up value EmergencyReferralStatus (The SPLS Extract Specification has spelt the column name for the emergency referral status field incorrectly - "EmergencyReferalStatus").

* Allowing multiple spaces between OutCode & InCode (if a postcode has more than one space in the middle it will no longer fail validation)

16/9/04 - The following fault has been found with the SPLS upload process.

The system is recording an error for gross services without valid mandatory entries in the following SupportServiceSPFunding table fields:

ActualSubsidyQuarter 1, 2, 3 and 4
TotalActualSubsidy
FixedAmountNew
SubsidyNew

These fields should only be mandatory for subsidy services.

The system will be updated to fix this fault during the week commencing 20/09/04.

AAs should continue to submit extracts on their allotted day. Please ignore these errors and concentrate on resolving any others that are identified in the extract error information report.

If any further SPLS upload system faults are discovered they will be appended to this document
