Housing Corporation proposals made in light of the housing policy statement published in December 2000. Quality and Choice: A decent Home for All - The Way forward for Housing.
This sets out the Governments objective that rent setting in the social housing sector be brought onto a common system based upon relative property values and local earning levels.
The proposals affect both local authorities and registered social landlords.
