Abstract: The SPLS team have been working closely with a number of ‘pilot Local Authorities’ to develop the requirements for the SP Local System. The project was split into 3 iterations, and the project has recently completed the third and final iteration. Each iteration was a further development of the deliverables prepared for the previous iteration. While this is the final iteration of the project, this document may change and be impacted by developments and updates to the wider Supporting People programme.

The Local System Logical Design describes how the requirements for the Local System could be structured and organised across logical subsystems. It does not consider physical characteristics such as actual deployment scenarios. The Requirements Catalogue (see separate KWeb entry) defines what is required of the Local System, while the Logical Design describes how this could be structured and organized across logical subsystems. It does not consider physical characteristics such as actual deployment scenarios.
