National provider database
The National Provider ID database contains a listing of National Providers of
Supporting People (SP) Services. This includes the Unique National Provider ID
assigned to each Provider along with some key information relating to the
Provider. (This includes both SP-Funded and non SP-Funded Providers.)
For guidance on the use of the database, consult the National Provider ID User Guide which
has been published under Information Technology.
All Providers of SP Services have been assigned an eight-digit Unique
National Provider ID. Every instance of that Provider operating within
an Administering Authority (AA) has been assigned a corresponding Local
Provider ID. Local Provider IDs are of the form: 12345678-{ONS Code}-01
(where ONS Code is the Office of National Statisitic Code for the AA).
