Supporting People helpline closure

Author : Communities and Local Government
Organisation: CLG

After many successful years in operation we wish to inform you that with effect from 5pm on Friday 19th October 2007, the Supporting People Help Line will no longer be in operation.

The decision to close the Help Line has been taken due to a marked change in its usage, with its functionality having altered considerably to that which it was originally designed for.

Following the 19th October you will need to direct any queries and / or communications to the appropriate person within the CLG Supporting People Team.

To assist you, all relevant contact details, including a brief overview of areas of responsibility, can be found within the 'Meet the Team' document, located in the 'Contacts' section of the SPKweb (www.spkweb.org.uk

For example, you should easily be able to identify who you need to speak to regarding SPLS upload queries, Individual Budgets, Local Area Agreements etc, the main difference being that you will direct your queries to that person, rather than going through the current Help Line communication channels.

There are also contact details for all 150 administering authority teams again within the ‘Contacts’ section of the website. If you have a query about support charges or becoming a service provider you will need to contact your local Supporting People team
