This letter has been sent to all Chief Executives of all Administering Authorities in England inviting expressions of interest for Minor Repairs and Adaptation, ‘handyperson’ grant allocations for 2009-11 and for a limited number of grants for Enhanced Services for 2008-11. This is part of new funding as outlined in our February 2008 publication: Lifetime Homes, Lifetime Neighbourhoods: A National Strategy for Housing in an Ageing Society.
The invitation period for expressions of interest will end on 30th December 2008. Specific enquiries can be referred to [email protected].gov.uk (Tel 0207 944 4400 Extn x19352).
Attached to the letter are 2 annexes setting out:
- the maximum available allocations for minor repairs and adaptations, ‘handyperson’, funding for all Administering Authorities in 2009-11;
- the expression of interest form for both minor repairs and adaptations ‘handyperson’ funding and enhanced services;
